The community choir is coming up for its 3rd year. The choir is led by a trained musician. People can join at any time and indeed new people join in practically every week. The choir has done a few performances in the area. Which people taking part say has helped their confidence.
When asked recently what they get from being involved, most members said they loved the camaraderie, friendship and sense of purpose, but mostly all said that it was fun and made them feel good! Other benefits which we could not measure but which have been proven are that singing in a group:
Increases circulation and oxygen levels, increases endorphins (‘feel good’ hormones) and reduces blood pressure and stress
